Hey guys ,
Just wondering if I can use the mite and lice spray on my breeding budgies..? Or will the spray harm the babies?
Cheers, Mike

My bottle says: 0.5g/L PYRETHRINS, 5g/L PIPERONYL BUTOXIDE.
Would that be safe??

If the age of the chicks matters, they have just fledged the nest.

That it will be fine. Obviously in cold weather you want to spray them in the morning and limit them to one or two squirts per bird so they dry off quickly. Probably best to wait for a sunny day if you are keeping them outdoors.

Can I ask why you are spraying these young birds that have left the nest.
Do they need it or are you doing it because of what you have been told by others.

if you dust the parents under both wings and on top of rump,,with coopex powder, while the young are still in the nest,,,,that will be sufficent to control mite etc.
