I am a real dope on a learning curve no doubt. Left my net in the avairy this morning at feed time I noticed 2 of my painteds caught in the net. So after extricating one ok, he was ok, the other had a leg wrapped in the net. Trying to get the net from the leg the painted flew off, still with the net attatched, so a reflex action from me was to grab it. Got a grip of its tail feathers and out they came, OMGoodness what to do, she is sitting eggs, can hop around but no flight. Will her feathers grow back?? Please tell me they will. I will have to look after her as for drinking and feeding. I am so much a dill. Please help

The feathers will grow back and generally the bird should still be able to fly without tailfeathers.
