Wildlife trade in the Philippines

When I read the following story, Dead Mynahs, Parrots, Crocs Spark Philippines’ Call For ‘All-Out War’ On Poachers, I was left wondering what this trader had done to deserve the attention of the authorities? A trip to the Manilla pet district in Cartimar is not what it used to be 10 years ago but there's not a day you won't find something illegally being openly sold there!
