I was wondering if the following plants were safe to put in my zebs cage.
Native violet
Albany wolly bush
White Diosma
I have all 3 growing in my garden
Thanks
Lois

Ive had Albany woolly bush branches in my aviaries for a while and no ill effects with Gouldians BFPF, Emblema, OBs. I usually rinse them and the birds go mad digging around getting the water!

Thanks Blue will give the wooley bush a go.
Does anyone know if native violets are harmful ?
That stuff is like a weed in my garden and if i can give it to my zebs as part of their green diet!!
As it is I am struggling to find suitable green stuff that I don't have to buy!!
Thanks

Silver beet is easy to grow and nutritious for the birds, probably the safest solution.
Native violet flowers are safe for people to eat, not sure about the leaves.
Cheers

I must admit I have not seen them ( native violet & diosma & wooly bush) mentioned on any plants for birds lists , which is why I thought I'd ask here
My neighbour has silver beet & parsley growing in her yard and my zebs are not interested in them!!
She also has an abundance of weeds ( can't remember their names) that unfortunately according to the experts are toxic to birds!!
The only green that I have growing is dandelion and finch seed chuckouts that have spouted in the garden
thanks
