Young hen

I was moving some birds around this morning. This is that first bird that has finished its moult.

Looks good Ian - you're going well to have one through the moult already.
My young birds are only just getting into it, and probably still have quite a lot to go. The unpredictable weather down our way isn't helping things along either.

Hi Ben, yes my birds are all at varying stages. I have 3 that are just about finished, 5 that are about half way through and 5 that are still uncoloured.

No sorry tiaris, your not missing anything. As a caught her up I thought she had nice long tail feathers so I got a photo of it.

None of mine have enough coloured feathers to cover a $2 coin. And The last of last seasons chicks is almost fully coloured. Is it something on the west coast?
