New to Red Siskins.....why do they insist on roosting right out in the extreme corner of the flight where they are exposed to the elements?,why are they the hardest to net?why is it that you can net 8 "cheapies" ie ruddies etc without a drama and when you catch the cock Red Siskin you knock him out and is distressed for days? Please explain!!!!

I have found siskins and other cup nesters to be highly strung for some reason when caught up in a net or even in a trap cage. They seem to be fine in the net/trap until you have them in your hand,i've even had them drop dead in my hand.IMO aviary bred birds are the worst. Craig
