You may remember the little fella below with the spots on his head....I decided to keep him and he is fast becoming a stunning bird.

Think the spots indicate AY genes though his nest mates and parentage would suggest otherwise.

I have always been a fan of the Blackheaded normal birds so I am pretty happy how he has turned out (despite the few odd feathers on the back of the head)

Most birds a through the moult with a few struggling.

Going to have a bit of a cull soon to make room for some new arrivals.

In my quest for photos I also finally found that elusive Siskin nest....in all places smack on the wire in a finch nest.
