Realize that people who have been affected by the hill's fire may be struggling to care for their animals at the moment and not knowing where to ring to offer some help rang the RSPCA yesterday. Was diverted to the foster department where I left a message but have not heard back. Does anyone have any other ideas of who to contact?

Local SES usually know who is doing what and where.
Mum rang an old friend who lives in the area. Held her breath that the phone would be answered. Sigh of relief when it was. The fire started accross the road from them and went off away from their place. I would be buying a Lotto ticket on the strength of that kind of luck.
