I adore our corvids. Some of the locals have a playful relationship with my magpies. Take it in turns to antagonise each other. Raised a raven as a youth. Personality plus.

Did find some tempering words of wisdom from the drivel that often accompanies youtube comments.

"A crow cannot magically understand how that plastic mechanism works, it had to be taught it's functionality first. The experiment wasn't to see if the crow can figure out how those mechanisms work, the experiment was meant to see if the crow can use it's previous knowledge and apply it in a linear fashion in order to solve the "puzzle".

The crow clearly already knew that that plastic mechanism thingy needs three stones in order for it to drop some material. "
