Hi from the Gold Coast

I was surfing the web and came across this forum, so thought, seeing I have been breeding finches and small parrots for over 40 years I would join up. I am a retired surveyor and have been a coast resident since 1956, so have seen lots of changes. I keep a few varieties of the Gouldians, Normals, White chested greens, White chested Yellows, Purple chested yellows as well as Cordons, Stars, Red faced Parrot finches, Tricolor Parrot Finches, Siskins, Cubans and a few canaries.
I also keep Elegants, Golden shouldereds, Hoodeds and Bourke parrots. Hope to be able to add something to the forum over time
Jim

This is a reply to tonytoast's PM Thanks for the info about the Gold Coast Aviary Bird Association, Tony. I have been a member since its inception and was a member of the Gold Coast avicultural society before that.
The reason I did not reply as a PM is that I cannot find anywhere that allows you to post a PM reply. If I go onto Compose Message it does not work. If anyone can outline the correct procedure to post a reply to a PM, I would appreciate it
Thanks
Jim

Welcome to the forum. As a "P" plate member you can not yet do everything or see everything. But you will be able to as you progress. You must have a few avairys and quite a bit of experience if you have that many birds and have had them for that long. Tell us what is the thing you have found must important in breeding finches?

As finchbreeder said, a couple more posts and you will have full access to all the boards and the pm features.
