I have one pair of gouldians on eggs......yay!!

But my question, the other pair are now in a seperate cage, and they have 2 nest boxes to choose from. The male started building a nest on top of one of the nest boxes, I thought that he may not like the boxes, so I put a different one in......and he quickly started re-building the nest on top of that. I will let him try and complete it this time, but surely the female wont accept it?

If he is building I'd say she already has accepted it....

thanks, her beak is really black, so she is keen. Just thought it strange that he chose to build on top of the box.

Some birds, like some people, are a little different in the way they choose to live. It's all part of life. If it works don't worry. As long as you gave them options that is all you can do.
