This question has probably been asked before but what would be best to put on the floor of an aviary?
My aviary is concreted and so i was going to put shell grit on the floor,for drainage but i think it wouldnt be suitable for quails to be on it so what should i put that creates really good drainage and is easy to clean?

I use coarse sand, it has good drainage and the birds may also ingest smaller stones to help aid digestion, it's easy to clean and lasts awhile before cleaning is required.
