Hey Steven i have a pair of gouldians that lay eggs and won't sit, you lucky that the other pair are sitting for you. The female that laid the eggs is she young bird, could be the problem.
Cheers

Hey Greg
She doesn't look young I am pretty sure that she is an adult. When I first bought them and got them a nest box they started to breed but we never sure eggs and they would keep breeding and breeding but no eggs.

She might be infertile and this could why she doesn't sit. Its hard to say i have seen birds do this before over the years, you could take her to a vet but then you still may not get a answer and the cost of the vet over the price of the bird doesn't way up. We buy a lot of birds and as they are adults we are not sure what they are like.
I have always had a rule that if you have a good breeder why sell it unless there is problems as in sitting, feather plucking, etc, you know what i mean, i prefer to buy young birds and grow them up, sure you have to wait longer for breeding.
Cheers
Greg

I've got a pair of St Helenas like that always building nests and filling them with eggs. then a couple of weeks later they start all over again. each time I have candled the eggs from the abandoned nests they have all been infertile. am going to get another pair and split the original two.
will be interesting to see what happens then.

when did she start to lat the clutch? could be that there are going to be more eggs in this clutch than usual.
I would give it a week and if she hasnt laid anymore eggs and still isnt sitting then remove them

See how she goes during the week and if it doesn't look like she is going to sit then might be best to remove the eggs and see if she will go again.
Cheers
