Just wondering how much its is to freight birds? and how many birds would fit into an average sized box? Thanks.

As a ball park figure, It'll cost you around about $80 a box and you can fit a heap of finches in a freight box.

I got charged 90 from Brisbane to Syd for my linnies (after quizzing the air port staff I realised the price was inflated)

Just on the cost ,you also have to consider that the seller has to make the box,then travel to the airport,in my case at least an hour each way,at god only knows what hour,so time and petrol at least would come into it i would think,garyh

Qantas charge by size and weight of box.
