Hand rearing a gouldian

i am seeking help as i have a gouldian i am starting to hand rear we feed it this morning at 730 am and its now 330pm and its crop still aint empty as i know if you feed before an empty crop it can cause sour crop how can we help it to digest its food better heat is set to around 32 degress its around 5 days old any help would be great

I hand reared a baby Red Face from about 4 days old on Wombaroo finch powder. Using a very small cyringe from the chemist.
Fed the baby every 2 hours. Warming the mixture in the micro wave.Good luck.

Sorry I cant give any advice except, type in "hand rearing" using the search function at the top of the page on the right hand side.There have been a few people over time hand rear finches here so that may get you started while waiting for help.

thanx mate it seems to be picking up and going strong now feeding well every few hours

Hi B&E Aviaries" How did you go with that baby Gouldian. Did he survive? He's probably on the perch by now.
