Thinking about seed hoppers & Im wondering if metal ones will afect the seed when the temperature gets really hot 45c or cold -2c ,so I was thinking maybe Im better off making them out of wood ?

My hoppers are metal, but they are in the shade. Easier to clean in metal.

Wood hss the issue of harboring bacteria and other nastys. Steel would be the go I reckon.
