Hi Bill,
AMCA26 is right, there is a dominant pied where when paired to a normal the young will have pied in them. The recessive pied produces split young, there is an AFF member on here that has dominant pied OB's.
How did you go with the young saints, are they still carrying the white bar in the wing or has it moulted out.? Cheers Craig

If is just white bar in the wing flights of a young bird, it is very unlikely to be a pied mutant.

I have no idea if they are dominant or recessive pied. But would also be most interested in seeing pics. Hope you are able to establish these successfully. Good luck.

Lovely birds. I'm not sure if its true or not but I heard something about fully white saints. Can anyone confirm this or even better have pictures?

Hi and thanks Bill, imo and i think Tiaris's that is not pied as i have seen that before and it is not passed on in the next generation and it generally moults out.
To be a proper pied, the whole flight feather needs to be white and not partial. Craig
