Hi all,

Just curious if those of you who dish up soaked or sprouted seed serve it alone or in conjunction with normal un soaked or sprouted seed, I currently provide both soaked and un soaked to my birds daily... so a bowl of soaked and a bowl of un soaked and I wonder if it necessary to do both, what does everybody else do?

The unsoaked/dry seed should be the finches staple diet, served usually in a larger type dish and left there all the time.
The soaked seed is usually fed prior to the breeding season to bring the birds up to condition, with various other goodies. Soaked/spouted seed is is fed daily, with enough in a container
that the birds consume during the course of the day. Use FRESH DAILY.

Hi Jenk,my birds don't survive on soaked/sprouted seed alone, there is always a finch mix available.Sprouted/soaked seed is given as an extra for when they have young as it is soft and easily digested by them,if that is what you mean. Craig
