The chicks with white nodules prove that the cock bird is carrying the Aus yellow gene (unless it's of the ino mutation) and considering the very same cock bird fits the colour criteria I believe its a little more than coincidences.

And as for the genetic colour of this same cock bird only its offspring can prove this.

Time will tell. they are out of the nest, the three lighter ones still have red eyes.

And quite a number of Aussie yellow cocks have some purple on the chests. (Or is that only if they are split to euro yellow?) The reason being that Aussie yellows should really have been called recessive pied, because that is what their genetic and visual stamp is. Yes I know the breeder has naming rights, but it would have made things a lot less confusing.

Well it appears I was wrong, genetically this hen is a European yellow as predicted by few from here.

Below are 2 Single Factor cocks from her first clutch of offspring.

Finnigan how are your birds doing, are their eyes still reddish and do they appear to be getting darker?

Yes me too, i have gone back through this thread to see if Australian dilute is a factor in this mutation as well, they do get confused as SFEY's to the inexperienced breeder.
Young Australian Dilute backs have plum coloured eyes in the nest as well so it maybe a cocktail of mutations. Craig

I am not sure about its mutation so just let it grow its adult feathers, then you'll see. It might be a Lutino because their eyes are red.
