Ok,
Fellow finchers, because of the weather here in Sydney I have not been able to do my lawns. Last mowed them 4 weeks ago but now I am looking at an area of 15mx3m that is completley covered in wintergrass in seed. I take 2 handfulls each morning( 10 seconds) after feeding sprouted seed, fresh dandelion and milk thistle and they love it. It seems such a waste but the mower is coming out tomorrow. The question is this: I can pick it all and would have at least a large shopping bag of the seed head. Can I separate it and freeze in small chinese containers and thaw it out to feed?

Best idea is to build an aviary over it and never mow again Yes you can freeze it but in freezer bags would be better Craig

On second thoughts I know what I will do with the mower, give it to the ex missus!
