I got this grass from a friend, they can't remember what it's called though. Just wondering if anyone could ID it? (pictures aren't the best, I know).
Its in pots at the moment, and has spread to take over the whole pot. It gets a nice amount of seed heads on it, do you think it would be worth planting in one of the aviaries (in a pot/plastic drum cut in half)?

Did you id. this plant?
Has it made any seed heads this season?
Maiden grass is Miscanthus sinensis of which there is a variegated form.

Not yet, but upon second inspection it very well may be Maiden Grass, it should be getting seed heads soon, so i'll know for sure by then.
Thanks for your help, i'll let you know how it turns out

I think you are right VT,it's also a grass that can be grown in marshy swamps and in aquariums. Craig
