Hi all
I am thinking of moving up to my Daughters place in Kuranda which is about 30 km up in the rainforest , wanting to know what birds can I keep and breed up there , over the last 30 years I have breed Budgies , finches , Canaries , , Scarlets chested parrots in western Sydney which is hot but low humidity up there it is very high humidity , so the question what breeds in those conditions ,
Garry

I'll echo the suggestion of Parrotfinches. They thrive in humidity and love a good bath. Other finches from tropical climates like Silverbills, Java Finches and Mannikins would probably thrive.

If you want something larger, Asiatic parrots should do well in Queensland. Indian Ringnecks, Mustache Parrots, Malabar Parrots, Plum Head Parakeets

Regent & Satin Bowerbirds, Noisy & Rainbow Pittas, Sunbirds . . .

These are birds that you CAN breed

Sorry they are not birds that you are ALLOWED to breed :silent:
