Just flew in the back garden

Just taken these pics 5 mins ago.
Looks like the body shape and coloured neck feathers of the standard birds we get in the garden, but the colour is very different. Normal birds are a grey colour.
Do you think its a mutation or just a lost pigeon?

Diane, I can't make any comment about the colour. What I can say is I enjoy the sound they make. I put seed out for them. Do you enjoy seeing and/or hearing them? Regards.

Diane, this is a Barbary Dove or also known as African Collared Dove. An introduced species with feral populations (mostly from aviary escapees) in Adelaide. A small population in the western suburbs of Melbourne over last couple of years.

Sullo is spot on. I spent the better half of a day driving the streets of Adelaide trying to see these guys. Finally found 3 on Oakland's road, Somerton Park.
