Hi,
Introducing myself to the forum as I just registered.
I'm in Darwin and just starting back into the bird life, hoping to get my kids involved.
As a kid I bred zebra finches, budgies, quails.
Looking to start again, have two zebra finches. Waiting patiently for some birds to become available, not much available in Darwin.
Also looking for ideas on building an aviary in the next 12-24 months. Start researching now for the future so I get it close to right...

Hopefully I posted this correctly, haven't been on a forum before.

Cheers

Shayne

After you post 5 posts, you can use the search button on the top right hand corner of the page to search for : How to build and Aviary" and I am sure that you will find a lot of suggestions.
Welcome and good luck.

Hello Shane and welcome, plenty of ideas and help here for an Avery. The best idea I think is a large secondhand plastic water tank with the side cut out, this gives you a roof, sides and a pest proof floor.
All the best
