I am new to the forum but have had birds on and off for about 45 years . I just saw an ad on Gumtree for dried meal worms. Has anyone used them and had any success with them? I will be using fresh meal worms again for what birds i now have and just wondered about the dry ones.
cheers Tony

Imo if you mix them with some thing moist they may be alright. Most finches pick up a live mealworm, chew the head off and run the body through their bill to extract the moisture from the head end and discard the outer body shell,if they are dried out they would be as good as worthless. Craig

Have seen mealies in the small tequila bottles , the dried mealies are marketed for reptiles I guess , from what I have been told you can buy a dish that vibrates to make it look like they are alive ...Pete
