Tricky,
I use Elliots Cod Liver and Wheat Germ Oil. Its not cheap, I paid $18.00 for 200mls from the local produce store but I am sure it can be obtained cheaper if you hunt around. I use it 10-12mls per kilo of dried seed, mix through thoroughly and let it stand overnight. I am pretty sure that it assists with keeping condition and eggbinding issues during the cooler months.

Hope this helps.

Ken.

I buy mine from the chemist. One ml per kilo of seed. I keep any excess treated seed in the fridge with the bottle.

Agree, not a good product to be using this time of the year as it heats the birds blood. It also goes rancid very easily and quickly on warmer days so should only be used during Winter/early Spring imo.If you supply plenty of calcium you shouldn't have egg binding problems. Craig
