hello, Normally my Gouldian's would have complete their moult by end of December and start breeding middle of February. In 2014 - some pairs bred one clutch, others two, then stopped breeding. after which 3/4 of my breeding pairs started moulting (not normal), By the end of September the birds were in a prime condition for breeding, hens had pitch black shiny beaks, cocks singing. put boxes back in, 3 pairs, same week eggs in boxes, 14 chicks (4 silver,4 Blue, 4 single factor green split blue cocks, 2 split yellow split blue hens), healthy chicks.
Took the boxes out as its to hot to breed during summer, Now the same pairs are starting to moult now and showing no signs of breeding, 2 pairs bred this time last year are breeding, Anyone out there having similar experiences.
