I only have males that are blue in the same aviary. The lkne blue hen I have is in her own.

I have never noticed much aggression from the carduelis I keep except occasional nest defence.
Breeding Project 2020-2025.
agate mosaic canaries, agate yellow mosaic canaries, red zebs, self bengos and goldfinch mules.

I agree with this Craig...when I had Goldfinches they terrorised everything....almost as bad as Crimson Finch years ago...but maybe they have calmed down now? :think:

Maybe it is the dominant Gouldian Cockbird doing the rounds.
Finding a live chick outside the box tends to indicate to me that it is a Gouldian to Gouldian action.

Thanks everyone for all the ideas and responses.

I think eorix may be right on this.

Its sad...I had 30 young in the nest round 1 with only 5 alive and the oarents have stopped feeding.
