Can you please tell how can I control moth from seed container...

Make sure your container is completely sealed. I then put a small plastic round chinese container of dried bay leaves (fresh would probably do better) as well as some green lemon or lime leaves. Also place a Hovex pantry moth trap on a plate inside. No matter how hard you try the moths seem to get in. I started from scratch, new container, new bag of seed, three weeks later, moths. The eggs are everywhere, seed,pasta,flour. Up side is from what has been written on this forum is that if it becomes completely infested the finches that are partial to insects love the moths and the grubs.

You could try moth balls,they now come in a plastic hanging basket with 3 balls in them ,simply hang on the side of the container,i buy them at coles,garyh

I have the same problem in my hot room where I breed mealworms, would the mothball idea be OK with mealworms?? garyh.

Not being an expert, I wouldnt have the mothball in the breeding boxes given that the mothballs are an insect repellant/killer. I would use them away from the breeding area just where you store their food. I have had mealworms at times and found that the oats got infested but when put with the mealies they cleaned uo the oats, no moths/grubs.

Actually got some mealies a few years ago and they had a similar little dark mealie that just about shut down the live food industry, ate everything, dead set carnivorous. Even found them in my nest boxes at the end of the season.
