was working in the aviary today starting to put the frames up for the area that will become my holding cage for juveniles.
went back out to get some more steel to weld in, yes I leftthe door open - it's safe though as there is still another door before the main aviary.
still cant believe what happened a damn hawk decided to try for a free feed and flew in the open door. am sorry to say that said pain in the ass didnt get to eat any birds. all it got was indigestion from a piece of lead.
feel bad for doing it but at same time am happier cos I know my birds will no longer have the proverbial scared out of them each day

yer hawks they can get on your nerves see my dad just put up a new glass fence around the pool and 2 weeks latter i found a dead hawk that had gone for a fly and hit the glass and broke its nek i was sad and happy at the same time haha because it always comes down and attacks the aviarys and i have lost a lot of birds from that but then the next week another one shows up dam....
