Could someone advise me on this
I know that male cubans fight when placed with a female but would the females do the same if I placed 2 females with 1 male

Imo,don't do it.The cock will only choose one hen and the other hen will be harassed by both the cock and the paired hen, better to buy another cock bird and place them in another aviary. Craig

My problem is in one aviary I have a pair and in my larger aviary which is 20 metres long I have 3 males and 1 female and no spare aviary to put the 2 spare males, which I bred earlier this year. They have been together for a couple of months and so far the young males have been able to evade the dominant male. Should I dispose of the 2 males or chance my luck and hope they survive with the view to pairing them with others

I knew someone who had I think it was 3 pair in a huge avairy like that without problems. Because it was heavily planted and they could each have their own territories with their own food sources and waterers. But that was one person in many years.

A very long time ago a mate of mine had about 20 pair of Cubans & more than likely a sexual imbalance in a heavily planted, huge (probably 20m x 20m) aviary where they lived in harmony
Probably enough pairs to nullify the aggression
Whereas 2 pair in the same aviary may have resulted in tears
If you have birds which you know are suspect, why push your luck (and the lives of your birds) just to prove a point
Russian Roulette for mine . .
Would you do it if they were $500 a pair rather than $50

I went through this turmoil, 5 pair of Cubans in an aviary 20m x 20m , the Hens were the most aggressive to each oither, there was some breeding ,
young were on the perch, but no sooner that any youngster harrassed an adult that was not his parent for food, they were quickly attacked, and sometimes killed.
Take it from me 1 pair to an aviary and get the young ones out before dad gets cranky.
There was no Forum when I needed it, so you can imagine how many mistakes I made in my lifetime.
