There are at least 2 members of the WA zebra Finch Society who have excellent lines of Red Zebs. In fact one has been sending birds to the east for some time. They have made great progress in the last couple of years.

The lady I bought my Red dad from is chiefly a Budgie breeder, but has an interest (business) in birds and seed etc. in the northern part of the City.
Don;t know where she got her starter stock but understand she bought then increased, as oposed to developed. Had noticed that the few examples I have seen in the flesh so to speak are in general somewhat better as regards the red than those I am seeing on the forum.
