Nice pics.
Do you breed many Melbas Jack? They're a bit thin on the ground in Sydney and surrounds at present.

Gee Sam, if Melbas are hard to find in Sydney then I hope they're breeding them in Qld or SA as Victoria has never been their stronghold.
I think it has to do with their (perceived?) reliance on termites and their general lack of availability in the southern half of the state.
Then again Jack may be churning them out with a bit of luck.

Lovely pics Jack and lovely birds. Can you divulge the make and model of your camera, as I am going overseas soon I thought I could lookout for the same.

No luck with them yet Sam but when the weather turns warmer later in the year Craig is taking me on a field
trip to a spot a few hours out of Geelong to collect some termite nests,hopefully that will do the trick.

Hi Guy,It's a Sony Cyber-shot model DSC-HX300 with 50 times optical zoom.You can pick them up for under $400 now.

The DSC HX400 is getting good reviews as well. Can pick it up for about $500.

This is my blue hen and split cock.. Think they are pairing, seen him in the nest and her with her head in the hole. Her beak is as black as. She tolerates him but hunts other.
