I must admit, not being a hookbiil fan theyare nice, but I think the original, natural colour beats all. The only reason I am saying this is because in the early to late 70s there was a flock of ringnecks in Sans Souci who nested in an old gum tree with heaps of hollows. I had never seen them before. Just stunning.
Anyhow, great photos.

Although the beak worries me...
I love the look of these birds always such a "clean and tidy" looking bird.

I agree Diane. I find most of the Asiatic parrots to be elegantly proportioned and sleek-feathered birds. I especially love malabars & slatey-headeds.

One of the first birds I ever remember seeing at my pops place were his Indian ringnecks, never had the pleasure of keeping them myself, but if I did i'd go the White head/White tail mutation

Plenty of mutations to choose from . .
I attended an Aves Conference in the 90's and almost fell asleep during Jack Bastian's slide show of all the ringnck mutations available then . . about 64 from memory
Probably closer to 640 these days
