Hi all I am new to keeping gouldians I bought what appeared to be a hen but nearly sure it is a cock as it stands bolt upright and sings like mad very frequently I have attached some pics your feedback would be greatly appreciated it is the bird in the pics with the grey head

Too young for me to sex from a photo. Why I won't buy or sell birds that are not at least 75% coloured.

The beak would indicate to me it's a cock bird.

It is most likely a young black-headed or red-headed male. It is still in juvenile plumage & will undergo a moult over the next month into adult plumage. Did the person you got it from tell you it was a female?
I don't buy or sell Gouldians until they are fully coloured after the annual moult. December/January is when all Gouldians should be at their best (plumage at least) & very easy to sex in adult plumage.

I would say cock only because of the condition of the beak but the quality of the photos are of low resolution so I wouldn't put money on it.
Just going to have to wait and see.

The singing is a give away. Only males do it.
