Hi all I am new to keeping gouldians I bought what appeared to be a hen but nearly sure it is a cock as it stands bolt upright and sings like mad very frequently I have attached some pics your feedback would be greatly appreciated it is the bird in the pics with the grey head

Too young for me to sex from a photo. Why I won't buy or sell birds that are not at least 75% coloured.

It is most likely a young black-headed or red-headed male. It is still in juvenile plumage & will undergo a moult over the next month into adult plumage. Did the person you got it from tell you it was a female?
I don't buy or sell Gouldians until they are fully coloured after the annual moult. December/January is when all Gouldians should be at their best (plumage at least) & very easy to sex in adult plumage.

I would say cock only because of the condition of the beak but the quality of the photos are of low resolution so I wouldn't put money on it.

Thanks for the replies, the bird was fledged in January and sings constantly not chirpy singing but full blown song the other cock is some of the pics with the purple breast and semi black head is the same age
