I have a pair of neophemas in each of my two aviaries.

1 pair have just produced their first two young - How long can i leave the offspring in with the parents?

I have noticed that the male of the 2nd pair has been feeding the female. Is this normal or a sign of something else. She is flying around as normal and the feeding occurs on branches etc around the aviary (as opposed to when she in their box). She has been 'burying' herself into the seed tray and the woodchips on the floor and does look more rotund then usual.

Feeding of the hen is part of Neophema courtship.

Space permitting you can usually leave the young with the parents indefinitely. It's unlikely, however, that the parents will begin another clutch while the young are still there.

This is quite normal. The cock will begin feeding the hen and she will look a little scruffier than usual as she begins to lay.

I am happy to leave the two new babies for now and will probably sell them after Christmas.

I was not expecting my Blue pair to mate this season as i was told they were two young. Guess I shall find out soon enough.

If they are very young they may get it right, or they may just go through the motions, but not complete the full process. Either way it will improve their bond and augers well for next season that they have already accepted each other.

Well i had not seen the yellow female or three days so i had a quick look in the nesting box and she was in there with a least 2 eggs. Should i leave her alone or remove theboxto give her a break?

Nothing wrong with a couple of rounds, just keep up the "baby" food.

I bred some White Breasted Blue Scarlets ,in november

I have lost two young ones in a week for no reason, they looked healthy
same sympton they sit at the bottom off cage one day
next day gone any help would be appreciated

They left the nest last November I have noticed that a couple off the young ones
are bullies stopping them, from eating. I just don,t know. cheers
