Will take a pic later today if i get the chance . I have a fledgling that is very soft cream in colour with a pink beak with a very soft light green colour on its back feathers. Now as far as i can work out, the cock is a yellow head normal and the hen is a white breasted red head. They were only 2 birds that were not paired up. There are 3 others from the nest that at this stage look like normals.

Sounds like Australian Yellow, which is recessive so could be hidden in both parents: http://www.finchstuff.com/gouldianmutations

Recessive dilute I'd say. If so, both parents are splits and the normal-looking young are each 2/3 chance of being splits.

I tend to say Australian dilute if both parents are green backs with no sign of AY for split as white bib or yellow patch of feathers on the back of the neck.
The young of AD's are a soft creamy/fawn colour all over where AY's are patchy pied looking. Craig
