Not the best photo and with the stormy weather of late she is looking a little fragile.
With her wings dropped a little her markings are a lot clearer.

This bird makes me want to dabble with the blues again............or at least the AYs.

Probably the biggest disappointment for me this season is sharing the unfortunate news of this bird dying.
It was never a strong bird form the minute it left the nest, natures selection I guess...

Any way had this bird made it to colour up this is what I expected it to look similar too.

But we will never know now..

I do still have a few interesting birds left to share but I'll sit on them until the moult.

Condolences, but as you say. Survival of the fittest, and it has been a very cold winter so far.
