It's a long shot but does anyone have photos to share of a silver Gouldian (preferably a hen) that shows signs of being split to AY?
Hopefully there are a few of you out there with pictures that are focusing on the areas that suggests being a split for AY.
It needs to be silver not blue, TIA.

Rich.

I'm not saying this is split to AY I believe the proof is in the pudding after it is test bred.
Who knows it may even disappear once it moults out.

The nodules don't suggest this Craig.
If it was a AY Euro silver I would expect all nodules to be white, middle nodule would be white due to the blue gene and the top and bottom nodules would also be white due to the AY gene.

Well this chick has left the nest while away and this is her (Im guessing it's a hen).

And if I understand correctly I would expect the dark feathers to turn blue.
The more this bird develops I'm thinking this maybe simply a Silver hen split to Australian Yellow showing a lot of retention but it shouldn't be classified as this until its proven, breed the bird and work backwards.
Rich.
