Mallee emu wren article

Interesting article just posted on facebook. I was very lucky to photograph some in the wild in 2015.

I love these blokes. Prime candidate for a captive breeding program. We are working (slowly) to get aviculture involved. The thought is to get the husbandry sorted using Rufous-crowned (or Southern) Emu-wrens and then move to the Mallee Emu-wrens. Some stuff is going on behind the scenes - but slow progress (unfortunately). I talked briefly on this species as part of my presentation at the last FSA meeting - https://youtu.be/qbyn5xmmMcA

Gomer - if you have any decent photos I'd love to see them as I'm working on a bit of a promotional article in our next FSA magazine. Particularly pics of hens or juveniles as not many around.

Thanks Case what little hair I have i was pulling out looking for them last night. may find them hidden somewhere anyway glad you have them. :thumbup: :thumbup:
