My name is Shane and was on this forum briefly a few years ago so not completely a newbie.
Main interest is cup builders with goldfinches being a favorite for about the last 30 yrs.
Pretty much only breed Red Siskins as they breed well here (Sunshine Coast) and maybe the odd Goldfinch these days.
Have the luxury of a few acres so growing a few goodies for the Siskins is great as I don't feed any live food to my Reds
and actually breed more these days without the hassle!

As Im self employed and super busy all the time, I don't have a big collection. New aviary has 9 banks as I run 1 pr of reds to a section but won't have prs side by side. I've always prefered to specialise on few a species that I like, rather than a mixed collection with too many diet variations.
