Would one cock Zeb (no hen) be likely to cause issues in a mixed aviary?

Do not think so. I have single pairs of zebs in my other finch aviaries and Gouldians in my Zeb aviaries. Have a young single male in with Orange breasts, White rumped Double Bars and Pink African Fires. Doesn't seem interested but with nature who knows.

As a follow up, I introduced a zeb cock into the mixed aviary about 3 weeks ago. He is no problem at all to the other finches and so far has left their nests alone.

Be careful to avoid hybrids with the Double Bars.
