Dear Aussie Finch Forum members,

I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Luis Jimenez, I live in Frederick, MD USA and I'm a finch enthusiast, hoping to learn and become a breeder. I have read about many techniques from breeders from Australia, Tasmania, England, and of course, USA. The climate where I am right now doesn't allow for an outdoor aviary, so I have a few flights, 30" (76 cm) long in which I have my first finches: two Heck's Shaftails and two Cordons. Hope to engage and participate in the forums, but mostly here for the great knowledge I already see from the Aussies.
Cheers,
Luis

Welcome to the Forum. Are your cages as tall as they are long? These types of finches like a little height to exercise in.

Thanks, all. And sorry for starting by misspelling the name Maryland. Anyways, I'm looking forward to learning from all of you. Already reading some very interesting threads.
Cheers,
Luis

Two of the flights are the 'normal' 30" x 18" by 18" and a third is 30" x 20" x 42". I'm looking forward to building closed cages w fronts.
