anyone have any good contacts for bulk seed.am looking at getting 4x canary seed 4x panicum 4x french millet and 3x jap millet in 40 kg bags.

Sheesh probably way too far for you but might be a good way to contact other suppliers......Mullion Produce in Orange 0263617499 I buy all the above and more , they got it in any quantity and offered to arrange it to go on truck to Dubbo with just a phone call....

sorry, cant help with this. get all my seed through my local bird society and all I know is that it comes from somewhere near adelaide. price & quality are great.
will ask them and see what info they will give me

hey gomer how did you go with the seed . heres a link to a site where fincher (chris ) and i get our seed from . its been a while since he has updated it but we get 40 kg for around 45 bucks. he does post it over to your side of rabbit proof fence. he has a few buyers over there big time breeders gary macrea from over here uses the stuff to ....pete

Am picking up seed maybe Thursday.
jap millet 30 kg $42
french millet 40kg $38
yellow panicum 40kg $43
red panicum 40kg $40
cheapest i have seen plain canary is 40kg $80.as the Australian grown stuff has ran out.there has just been a shipload land in Brisbane?am waiting to see price of that.the last imported stuff i had to buy was 40 kg $88 about four years ago from Argintina.
Am looking at the tonic mix from nutriwing.10kg $85 plus $35 postage,Anyone out there use it or have any thoughts on it.

yes i use nutriwing seed
yeh the tonic mix is pretty good from them too. cant rember which one i got but it has all niger rape maw linseed, white and black lettuce and also phalaris which is a good mix and me birds love it too

the tonic seed all was mixed in his main finch mix. he has changed the seed mix to the recommendations of the finch society. so all the extras like the niger ., rape lettuce etc he sells as the tonic seed . my birds love it ....pete

Those prices are very reasonable gomer , I buy all the above by the kilo and all are $2.00 per (approx) was surprised that the jap was more expensive though ...maybe theres a shortage this time of year.
The dearest seed I buy is the niger and ita $4.oo therabouts.

They look after me as i buy one and a half to two ton a year.They no i will go elsewhere if the price is not right.the price varies all year Deb.as supply varies.
