Blue faced parrot finch

I have ( did have! ) a pair of Blue faced parrot finch in a mixed aviary.
They were on eggs and going well but yesterday I found the male dead. ( no previous signs of illness and all other birds appear fine )
I am wondering whether I should give her a new partner immediately or wait and see if the eggs hatch and she raises the chicks on her own ( she is an experienced mother! ) What do you think??
Sue

she should be ok on her own. giving her a new mate could cause her to lose interest in the clutch she has at present

I would not add a new partner. If the eggs arnt hatched,i dont like their chances. If i had something sitting i would consider putting a few eggs under that.

The BFPFhen appears to have now abandoned the nest ( no hatchlings only eggs ) - looks like I had better go and buy her a new boyfriend!
