Since they are so expensive for a teenager's wage, I was just wondering if any fellow members would like to share their egg and biscuit formula with me ! Any comments are appreciated!!

Cheers,

Depends what you are feeding.Canaries? Then hard boiled egg and Arrowroot biscuits. If other things can add all sorts of vegies. Look at plain maderia cake, cheap as from the supermarket, may help.

Fraudster,

It all depends how many birds you have. I prefer with my birds to feed them unfrozen chitted/sprouted seed. Do a 750gram every four days, no time, soak the seed for 6-8 hours and then put it inside the aquarium cover, warm, light, chitted next morning, rinse, feed...24 hours, easy. I do not have to use egg and biscuit but have used it in the past, many years ago. One egg, hard boiled, 5 Arrowroot biscuits, mashed all together, last a couple of days in the fridge. I think that if you froze the mix it might go gluggy. Takes no time really. From what I have seen on this forum, Madiera cake, seems to be the go. If not, smother with butter and a glass of milk before bed.

Ken.

Mixing the above 50:50 with sprouted millets makes a great rearing food.
