The photo shows two birds (siblings) who fledged a few months ago.
The bird on the right has a lot of blue in the feathers whereas both siblings don't.
These are my first RFPF so i do not know if this is normal or not?

The bird on the left is a sea-green mutation so your cock bird red face is a split, therefore that sea-green young one is a hen due to sexlinked nature of the mutation. Craig

Thanks. That's one way of being sure of the sex of the bird. I struggle with the parrot finches.
Any advice as how to develop this mutation?

I think you'll find that the mutation is well and truly developed. The real challenge is to breed pure normals!
