Hey everyone there are bushfires near us has anyone got any ideas of how to prevent smoke inhalation with Finches because we are getting coated in ash RN, I've covered all the Quails in wet towels but I obviously can't do that to the aviarys I've got all the misters on even I'm coughing! The sun looks like mars! and it's blowing like crazy out here. My prays go out to the people in and around the bushfires especially the Sir Ivan fire near Casillis.

Don't worry too much, the birds will go low to the ground, smoke is a natural thing, just keep up the water. If they feel safe where they are things should be okay, although might be a bit stressed. Hope you do well, my thoughts are with you.

Winds changed, (phew that was close) the birds did exactly what you said they would. Kept sprays on now what I have to deal with is the layer of ash on the aviary roof!
