How many mealworms a day?

Hi all,
Just wondering what the rule of thumb is in regards to feeding mealworm to your birds so that they don't become obese.
Currently have cordon bleus, rfpf, tcpf, mealbas, crimsons, diamond sparrows and parsons (I have a pair of each and have found these guys to be the main ones to eat live food).
Cheers,
Will

White-ants are by far the best live food for the finches you mention . . but living in metro Melbourne probably makes their regular supply (and it has to be regular), a bit difficult
Maggots would rate a pretty good second and there is a wealth of info on the forum about them . .
But your question is about mealworms, which are a bit over-rated in their value . . but better than nothing ( although skins of older mw's can disagree with some softbills) . . you can probably feed ad lib and let the birds work it out, preferably with soft skinned younger mw's
Best situation is an unlimited regular supply of all three . . mission impossible for most
Others no doubt may disagree

Hi arthur, thanks for your response!
Have you ever tried frozen maggots? And if so, are they any good?

Not I Arthur.
I always think that if you run out of your daily ration of live food for the birds, it means you did not feed out enough in the first place.
