Hi everyone, firstly i hope everyone and their birds are ok after the nasty storm up in North Queensland. Ive been to Port Douglas and the Daintree area great place up there. Anyway its the time of the year we have our major bird sale of the year over this side of the ditch, have caught up all my birds really for the sale at Feilding on Sunday. Taking Plumheads, cordons and Red Face Parrot Finches. Had another good season with the RFPF with up too 10 pairs for sale. iam getting better at sexing them the older they are the easier to sex i find.
Just wanted help with a few that iam not sure on.

Hmmm hard when young but I agree with Craig except 3rd one looks like a hen to me......so I'll go LG3=hen, LG6=cock,Y5=hen, LG7=cock

I am not professing to be very good at sexing RFPFs, in fact I have a few that I am still unsure of ...but I'd say lg3 is a hen, lg6 is a cock and the other two are a coin toss.

for what its worth, my guess is Lg3 is a hen, the rest are cocks.

Thanks for those pics. Had a look through and made my own guess before looking at what others had written. Thought the last one was a hen but now can see why Tiaris says cock. Now when I relook it's easier to see the subtleties when you can compare them. So much harder in real life especially if they're jumping around the aviary.
